At CagsCalcLabs, we care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and hosted services.

1. What Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal information:

Reviews: When you leave a review, we collect your chosen username (or email, if required), your rating, and your comment.
Hosted Services Hub (via Coolify): If you apply to host services through the Coolify platform, you will be asked to provide an email address and create a password to manage your deployment.
Hardware Captures: If you voluntarily run a calculator hardware capture, raw samples are processed locally into statistical counts for coarse min-entropy analysis. We collect those statistics, the calculator model and hardware revision/version, and capture/build metadata. We do not receive the raw bitstream, unrelated calculator files, or the calculator serial number. A prior lwIP runtime may be held temporarily in browser memory for restoration, but it is not transmitted.

We never sell this data or share it beyond what is necessary for service operation.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Cloudflare — for security and content delivery
Stripe & PayPal — for processing donations (we do not store payment details)
Akismet — for spam detection on reviews and forms
Discord — for delivering voluntarily submitted hardware-capture reports to the CalcLabs research channel

These providers may process limited technical or transactional data under their own privacy policies.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use tracking pixels or run analytics on visitors. We use a short-lived, essential session cookie on hardware-capture pages to prevent forged or repeated submissions. Third-party services (e.g., Cloudflare) may also apply essential cookies for security or service delivery.

4. Hosted Services Hub

The Online Services Hub allows third-party developers to host calculator-related services under our platform. We require all hosted services to comply with our Terms of Service, including:

All services must publicly display a Privacy Policy
No unauthorized collection or sale of user data
No malware, hacks, exploits, data mining, or other unethical practices

5. Data Storage & Security

All data collected (including reviews, hosted service account details, and any necessary service metadata) is stored securely on our private servers. These servers are protected by technical and organizational safeguards, including:

Triple-redundant backups (local QNAP storage, QNAP cloud, and Google Drive)
Strict server access controls
Monitoring of third-party services for compliance

For the hosted services hub, email addresses and passwords are handled securely by Coolify. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed following best practices to ensure your credentials remain safe.

6. Children's Privacy

Our website may target individuals of school age with utilities for calculator, some of whom may be minors. We comply with COPPA by not collecting personally identifiable information (PII) from minors.

You may request:

Removal of your reviews
Deletion of your hosted services hub account
Information about what data we hold about you (if any)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
